Doing the trial run, I had the chance to try out "buying tickets" on the new website, for the John Leachman Workshop last October. So it is very exciting that this convenient option is now operational for everyone to use on the NEW KIYI WEBSITE. A very big thank you to all those working behind the scenes to make it happen especially Tracey Vaughan Williams. Tracey is very modest but I know she has put a great deal of effort and time into this new KIYI website. It has a more up to date feel with the added functions such as the "buy tickets" option for workshops, which will enable those of you who are paypalfriendly to book KIYI workshops online (paying by cheque still an option for those of you who prefer). She would say "there is more to be done" and I know she would appreciate your feedback, contributions or ideas to make it even better.
I'm looking forward to the next workshops in the pipeline, although I have not been taught by Penny Chaplin or Zubbin & Parizad Zarchoshtimanesh they are very highly thought of by everyone I meet who has, so hoping to see you all there.
I don't know about you but I have really got a lot out of all the KIYI workshops I've been to, John Leachman's recent one being no exception.I had a twinge in my back for a few days before it and was a bit worried how it would go. It was "Back Bends" followed by recuperative and pranayama. I went home feeling a lot better than when I arrived.
It was brilliant John well done on a superb event. You got us working hard, there were some things I had never done quite like that before, turning the wrists the other way in Ardha Urdhva Vrikshasana if you were there you will remember!
Welcome to the new website that is being created for KIYI.
Our primary reason for getting a new website up and running is to allow us to take online bookings and payments for our workshops. We are currently doing a trial with a limited audience and, subject to this going well, hope to be able to offer the online payment option to members and non-members for the next workshop.
Over time, we will then add in other features such as membership renewals, class listings, a chat forum and photo galleries. Watch this space for further updates!
